Antique English Garden Spade and Fork over 75+ years old with traditional D-handles of ash richly burnished by time to a lovely patina. The handle of the sample Border Fork pictured here is turned from a single piece of straight grain ash - an example of craftsmanship not seen in garden implements for many decades. The Spade features a traditional split-bentwood and banded D-handle. With hand forged tines and hammered iron blades. Antique tools possess enduring beauty, and traditional garden tools (for this writer at least) evoke memories of a grandfather's garden shed and chores first learned long ago.
